AVIAN Trust

🌍 Vision of AVIAN Trust

AVIAN Trust believes that climate change is a reality and that conservation of nature is inevitable to mitigate the impacts of global warming. Protecting Earth’s natural resources is essential for both current and future generations.

Insects form the biological foundation of ecosystems, acting as keystone species that provide invaluable services such as pollination, biological control, sericulture, and more. With globalization and changing climates reshaping biodiversity, AVIAN Trust strives to spread awareness and build resilience through education, research, and recognition.

🌱 Objectives of AVIAN Trust

AVIAN Trust was founded and registered in 2022 with the following objectives:

  • To conserve non-injurious and beneficial insects by enhancing their natural environments.
  • To popularize insect and nature study through publications, teaching, and outreach.
  • To advocate safe methods of insect pest management for farmers and urban residents.
  • To encourage and facilitate research on insect natural history through studies and awards.
  • To promote climate-resilient agriculture and popularize natural farming practices.

🌿 Community Engagement

Beyond the annual awards, AVIAN Trust also celebrates World Environment Day (June 5th) in rural government schools. Activities include:

  • Encouraging children in conservation through tree planting.
  • Distributing books and prizes to students.
  • Felicitating school teachers for their role in environmental education.
  • In addition, free trainings for farmers are organized every year, focusing on sustainable agriculture, safe pest management, and climate-resilient farming practices.

These initiatives foster a culture of conservation, empower farming communities, and inspire the next generation to protect nature.
