Submission of a manuscript to Insect Environment (IE) implies that (1) the work described has not been published before (except in the form of a conference abstract or as part of a published lecture or thesis for an academic qualification), (2) is not under consideration for publication anywhere else, (3) its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as by the responsible authorities- tacitly or explicitly- at the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held responsible legally or otherwise should there be any claims for compensation or any other forms of disputes.
Authors should give an undertaking that the articles submitted are original, written by them and is contributive to the advancement of new knowledge in entomology.

· Single word file of the article including all the tables and figures should be submitted through the mail. This will be used in the peer-review process. All correspondence, including notification of the Editor's decision and requests for revision, will be by e-mail.
· Referees’ comments will be forwarded to the corresponding authors only by the Editors and copies will not be sent to any other mails.
· Authors should take care to avoid copying or using data/photographs that are not original or from alien published sources.
· Format and style of preparation of Manuscript
· Authors should follow the guidelines according to the category of the article mentioned below. Short communications on significant research findings or new records are most welcome.
Although there are no maximum or minimum page requirements, papers should be succinctly written. A good research article is marked by a clearly articulated research objectives derived from the review of the literature in the introduction, a thorough explanation of data collection and analysis in the material and methods, sensible discussion and conclusions that do not overextend results obtained.
· Submissions under Research article should include, in the following order: Title, The name(s) of the author(s), Address, Corresponding Author Email ID, Abstract- The abstract should be between 100-200 words with 2-5 Keywords, Introduction, Material Methods, Results and Discussion, tables, figures, acknowledgments and references.
· Article must be typed and double-spaced (including references) using 12-point Times New Roman font.
· Please use a 1-inch margin on all sides. The object is to provide reviewers and editors an easy-to-read text and space for the notes.
· Submissions under Review article should include Title, The name(s) of the author(s), Address, Corresponding Author Email ID, Abstract- The abstract should be between 100-200 words with 2-5 Keywords, Introduction, Main Text -sub headings, Summary, References.
· Article must be typed and double-spaced using 12-point Times New Roman font.
· Please use a 1-inch margin on all sides.
· Reviews must be on a specific theme or species that brings out an update as well as suggesting a way forward for further research. IE regards these as essays.
· Should preferably not exceed 500 words.
· Should have maximum of one Table and one graph or picture.
· Headings/ Sub-Headings not encouraged in short notes
· Article must be typed and double-spaced using 12-point Times New Roman font.
· Please use a 1-inch margin on all sides.
· If accepted quick publication in the current issue will be done, especially for topical subjects, new records, invasive insects etc.

Abbreviations and acronyms should be defined at first mention and used consistently thereafter and scientific names should be given with author name in the beginning.
· A special insect photo gallery “Insect Lens” to encourage professional and amateur photographers on insects is unique to IE.
· Clear photographs of insect with the insect common name, scientific name, place/ location where photograph was taken, Author name, designation and mail ID should be typed below the picture in a word format and be submitted along with a JPG format of the picture alone.
· Expert views on the photographs will decide the acceptance of the photos.
· All authors are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes, in case of detection.
· There are no page charges
· Editorial support will be given for clarity and avoidance of redundancy. Amateurs, apiculturists, sericulturists and amateur photographers will be given professional whetting support if they do not have adequate life sciences acumen. This is yet another uniqueness of IE.
· All articles are freely downloadable.
· The decision of the Editor-In-Chief is final.
· Authors and researchers/teachers and libraries are permitted to photocopy articles for non-commercial and scientific purposes.
